Ed's Set-Up

2026 Set-Up

My previous setup was almost entirely built for aesthetics, where form often came at the expense of function. After years of managing minor frustrations, I decided to rebuild from the ground up. The result is a more intentional, streamlined workspace - less flashy than before, but infinitely more rewarding to work in every day.

2025 Set-Up

In many ways, this felt like the 'peak' of my setup - it was visually striking and packed with hardware. However, the reality of managing multiple consoles, tangled cables, and complex audio routing became a constant hurdle. While I’ll always look back fondly on the custom desk I built, the lack of ergonomics and functional friction eventually led to my 2026 overhaul. I traded the 'gadget-heavy' chaos for a standing desk and a streamlined workflow that actually supports the hours I spend here.

2024 Set-Up

This represented the most significant leap in my workspace evolution. I 3D modeled the entire layout beforehand, ensuring every element was precise down to the millimeter - a process that proved invaluable when calculating timber dimensions for the custom desk. The design was centered on visual hierarchy: using LED triangles to anchor the viewer’s attention at the center before guiding the eye outward across the rest of the setup.
